Guacamole Recipe Easy

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe avocados, halved and pitted
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup chopped jalapeño pepper, seeded and veins removed (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mash the avocados with a fork until smooth.
  2. Add the onion, cilantro, jalapeño pepper (if using), lime juice, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Stir until well combined.
  4. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, vegetables, or as a topping for tacos or burritos.

Tips:

* For a creamier guacamole, use a food processor or blender to puree the ingredients. * To make ahead of time, prepare the guacamole as directed and then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. * To prevent the guacamole from turning brown, wrap the surface tightly with plastic wrap or press a piece of plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole.

Variations:

* Add other chopped vegetables to the guacamole, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, or bell peppers. * Top the guacamole with crumbled feta cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, or sour cream. * For a spicy guacamole, add more jalapeño pepper or diced serrano pepper. * For a creamy guacamole, add a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt.
