Trump Denounces Guilty Verdict, Assails Judge in Combative Speech

Former President Holds Press Conference Amid Guilty Verdict on Hush Money Case

Presumptive 2024 GOP Presidential Nominee Rails Against Legal System

NEW YORK - A day after a New York jury delivered a historic guilty verdict in Donald Trump's criminal hush money trial, the former president held a press conference, denouncing the verdict and attacking the judge who presided over the case.

"This was a rigged trial," Trump declared, his voice raised in anger. "This judge was an enemy of mine. He wanted to see me behind bars, and he tipped the scales against me at every turn."

In a rambling speech that lasted over an hour, Trump railed against the justice system, claiming that it was biased against him because of his political views. He called the verdict a "political witch hunt" and vowed to appeal the conviction.

"They can't stop me," Trump said. "I'm a fighter, and I'm not going to let these people destroy me."

The guilty verdict marks a major setback for Trump, who has long maintained his innocence in the hush money case. The jury found him guilty on all 34 counts, incluindo conspiracy to commit wire fraud, bank fraud, and tax fraud.

Trump's speech was met with mixed reactions. Some of his supporters cheered him on, while others expressed concern about his combative tone. Legal experts said that Trump's attacks on the judge could further jeopardize his appeal.
