Cobra Kai is an American martial arts comedy-drama television series and a sequel to the original The Karate Kid films. The series follows Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), a former Cobra Kai student who reopens the dojo and reignites his rivalry with Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), his former opponent from the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament.
The series premiered on YouTube Red on May 2, 2018, and has since been renewed for six seasons. The first two seasons were released on YouTube Red, while the third season was released on Netflix.
