Born on November 7, 1970, in Morgantown, West Virginia, Spurlock began his career as a stand-up comedian before transitioning into filmmaking. In the film, Spurlock undergoes a month-long experiment of eating nothing but McDonald's food, highlighting the detrimental effects of fast-food consumption on his physical and mental health.
