Chelsea Snatch Dramatic FA Cup Victory

Carney Chukwuemeka's Last-Gasp Goal Inspires 4-2 Triumph

London, March 13 (Reuters) -

Chelsea's Carney Chukwuemeka emerged as the unlikely hero on Sunday, scoring a dramatic stoppage-time winner to secure a thrilling 4-2 victory over 10-man Leicester in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

The Blues looked poised for a disappointing exit when they trailed 2-1 with just over 15 minutes remaining. However, Marc Albrighton's red card for a reckless challenge on Conor Gallagher swung the momentum in Chelsea's favor.

Ben Chilwell found the equalizer in the 76th minute, and then Chukwuemeka, who had only been on the pitch for a few minutes, popped up with a stunning strike in the dying moments to complete the turnaround.

The victory keeps Chelsea's hopes of a domestic double alive. They sit third in the Premier League, eight points behind leaders Arsenal, and will now face Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals.

For Leicester, the defeat marks a disappointing end to their cup run. However, they remain in the race for a top-four finish in the Premier League and will be looking to bounce back when they face Southampton next weekend.
